We’re excited to partner with Southeast SD AHEC to offer a new opportunity to explore healthcare careers at Philip Health Services!

We’re looking for both STUDENTS and ADULTS who may be interested in exploring a career in healthcare. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the many career paths available and see what might be a good fit for you. Check out the details below.

🎓TRACK 1: FOR HIGH SCHOOL + COLLEGE STUDENTS
Who: Applicants must be a current high school junior or senior or undergraduate student who is “undecided” on a major.

When: 2 full days during winter break. You will coordinate the days with the hospital and other participant.

What Will I Do: You will get to shadow 6 healthcare career areas, do a small community project, explore the rural community, and give a brief presentation of your experience.

How Many Students are Accepted? We will accept 2 students!

🔄TRACK 2: FOR ADULTS LOOKING FOR A NEW CAREER
Who: Applicants must currently work outside of healthcare.

When: 3 full days between Dec 1 and Jan 31st. You will coordinate the days with the hospital and other participant.

What Will I Do: You will get to shadow 8 healthcare career areas, visit with HR about career pathways and opportunities, explore the rural community, and give a brief presentation of your experience.

How Many Participants are Accepted?
We will accept 2 adult participants!
